Annual Sports Meet, Meerut

(February 18, 2019)

A spectacular display of courage, hard work, skill, and brilliance could be felt and seen in the field of Darshan Academy, Meerut as it celebrated its Annual Sports Meet on 9 -11 February 2019. The Chief Guest Dr. Vineet Tyagi, Secretary, Chess Association, dignitaries from the city, and management members graced the occasion. An energizing display was followed by mesmerizing performances of the students in drill, skating, folk dance and bhangra. Students of classes Nursery to XI competed in events which included fun races, sprints, relays, sack race, hurdle race and skipping race. Parents’ races added to the enjoyment of the day. An overall Champion Trophy was given to the winning house.


Inter House Athletic Meet

(February 18, 2019)

Darshan Academy, Hisar held the Inter House Annual Athletic Meet on January 31, 2019. Students participated in this joyful, energized sports day. Track and field events included a variety of races, long jump, discus throw and shot-put. Younger pre-primary students also enjoyed events that included frog jump and balloon race. An event exclusively slotted for faculty members was a 100m race. The school manager, Mr. Prakash Taneja and principal, Ms. Jessica R. Kamble, handed out medals and certificates. Preeti (XII-Sci) and Kushal (X) were declared Best Athletes (senior wing) while Vansh (VII) and Kashish (VII) won as Best Athletes (junior wing). The day was full of thrilling sights and wonderful experiences.


53rd Youth Parliament

(February 18, 2019)

On 30th January 2019 Darshan Academy Delhi conducted the 53rdYouth Parliament under the guidance of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. In the presence of Ex MP. Mr. Bratin Sen Gupta and Mr. Sanjeet, from the Ministry of Parliament Affairs, parents, and classmates, the young parliamentarians showcased the entire parliamentary procedure and code of conduct. It was a remarkable performance as the young ministers, demonstrating the spirit of democracy and it’s indispensable principle of deliberation, debated about the important issues that concern the nation. Mr. Bratin Sen Gupta lauded the impeccable performance of the students. He gave valuable lessons on improving the process without failing and in carrying on the legacy of democracy through such mock activities. Mr. Sanjeet congratulated the winners of the event. He also expressed that the aim behind conducting such events was that the youth today become more responsible in the future. Through such a platform the true essence of democracy ignited the sense of responsibility to all who attended.


Clay Modeling Competition

(February 18, 2019)

The pre-primary wing of Darshan Academy, Jalandhar recently held a clay modeling competition. The children joyfully made clay objects such as an octopus, rainbow, fruits and vegetables and other creative objects.


Road Safety Week

(February 18, 2019)

National Road Safety Week was observed throughout India from 4th to 10th February, 2019. Darshan Academy, Ludhiana participated by doing various activities on the school campus. Mr. Gurpreet Singh, a local traffic officer, was invited to deliver a lecture on the rules for road safety during the school’s morning assembly. Everyone appreciated getting the latest information on how to be safe on the roads.
